GPS coordinates can be used to navigate to a precise location when an address is not available or when coordinates have been provided by another navigation system, website, or map service.
To search using coordinates, open Menu → Navigate to… → GPS coordinates.
When the GPS coordinates screen is opened, the latitude and longitude fields are pre-filled with your current location (if available). You can then enter the coordinates of the desired destination and choose the coordinate format that matches your source.
After entering the coordinates, select Done to search for the location.
The application will display the selected position on the map and open the action menu, where the location can be used as a destination, start point, or waypoint.
The following coordinate formats are supported:
Degrees, Minutes, Seconds (DMS)
Example: N48° 08' 55", E017° 06' 28"
A traditional coordinate format commonly used on maps and in navigation references.
Decimal Degrees (DD)
Example: 48.1486, 17.1077
A simple coordinate format frequently used by online maps and location-sharing services.
Degrees and Decimal Minutes (DMM)
Example: N48° 08.916', E017° 06.462'
A format commonly used by GPS devices and marine navigation systems.
Military Grid Reference System (MGRS)
Example: 33U UQ 33000 21000
A grid-based coordinate system primarily used in military applications.
