Offline maps can take up significant storage space on your device. This article explains how to manage your map storage, delete unused maps, and optimize space in Sygic GPS Navigation.
Check your storage usage
You can see how much space maps are using directly in the app:
Open Menu (☰)
Go to Offline maps → Add offline maps
Here you will find:
List of downloaded maps
Available storage space on your device
Always check available storage before downloading new maps to avoid failed downloads.
Delete offline maps (free up space)
Removing maps you no longer need is the fastest way to free up space.
Android
Open Menu (☰) → Offline maps
Tap and hold the map (country or region) you want to delete
Select additional maps if needed
Confirm deletion
iOS
Open Menu (☰) → Offline maps
Tap the edit (pen) icon in the top-right corner
Select the maps you want to remove
Tap Delete
Delete only part of a map (regions)
Some countries are divided into regions.
You can delete only selected regions instead of the entire country
This lets you keep essential areas while freeing up space
Move maps to different storage (Android)
On Android devices with an SD card:
Open Menu → Settings → Storage
