Head-Up Display in Sygic Truck & Caravan Navigation

Head-Up Display (HUD) is a paid add-on available for Sygic Truck & Caravan Navigation. HUD projects navigation guidance onto your vehicle's windshield by reflecting a mirrored image from your device screen. Its dark display is especially useful during night driving, while the windshield projection keeps important navigation information within the driver's field of view.

You can purchase it either on the Sygic website or directly in the Sygic Store within the app.

HUD can show important navigation information, such as:

  • turn instructions,

  • distance to the next turn,

  • current speed,

  • speed limit,

  • estimated time of arrival,

  • speed camera warnings*.

* Important: Speed camera warnings are displayed in Head-up Display only when the Speed Cameras add-on is purchased and active.

 

How to launch Head-up Display

  1. Open Sygic Truck & Caravan Navigation and start a route. 
  2. Tap the bottom bar and select the HUD icon. 
  3. Enable mirror mode and place your device under the windshield.

 

Tips for using Head-up Display

  • Use mirror mode for correct windshield reflection. 
  • Adjust the device position to change where the HUD appears on the windshield. 
  • Increase screen brightness if the projection is not clearly visible. 
  • Tap the screen to access HUD options or return to standard navigation.
  • Use a non-slip dashboard mat to help keep your device securely in place while using HUD.

 

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

HUD is not clearly visible. What should I do?

Increase the brightness on your device and adjust its position under the windshield. Visibility may also depend on lighting conditions and windshield reflection.

Can HUD be used without an active route?

No. Head-up Display is available only during active navigation. Start a route first, then tap the HUD icon to launch it.

I don't see a Head-up Display add-on on the Sygic website.

The HUD add-on is available, but it is not shown on the Sygic website for the Europe region. To purchase it on the website, select a different region where HUD is shown, or purchase it directly in the Sygic Store within the app.

When can I use Head-up Display?

HUD works best in low-light conditions, including dawn, dusk, and night driving. In bright daylight, the reflected navigation instructions may be difficult or impossible to see on the windshield.
