My current speed and/or current position is not updating via CarPlay?
Some features are limited on CarPlay because the car screen version is designed to reduce distractions while driving. You can access more settings and features directly in the phone app.
When using CarPlay, the GPS signal may not update if the app is launched at the wrong time. The issue typically occurs when:
You connect your iPhone/ iPad to CarPlay first
Then open Sygic while already connected
The app has not yet acquired your GPS position
In this case, Sygic cannot properly sync your current speed or location. Follow this proven workaround:
1. Open Sygic Before Connecting to CarPlay
Launch the Sygic app directly on your iPhone/ iPad.
2. Wait for GPS Signal
Ensure the app fully detects your location:
In Sygic GPS Navigation, the arrow turns blue
In Sygic GPS Truck & Caravan Navigation, the arrow turns orange
This means your GPS is active and working.
3. Connect to CarPlay
Only after GPS is detected:
Connect your iPhone/ iPad to your car
Start using CarPlay normally
This ensures the app continues updating speed and position correctly.
