How Speed Cameras work
Speed Cameras provide alerts about camera locations while you drive.
The feature can help you:
get warnings about mobile and fixed speed cameras on your route,
receive alerts in advance before approaching a camera,
adjust your speed safely and in time,
stay aware of speed enforcement zones and red-light cameras,
make driving safer and less stressful.
Speed camera information is provided by TomTom and updated every minute. The feature also uses reports from the Sygic driver community for additional mobile cameras and police traps.
Internet connection is required
Mobile speed camera warnings require an internet connection, because they rely on current and frequently updated information.
Fixed speed cameras do not require a constant internet connection, they can also be used without internet.
