GPX import allows you to load pre-planned routes or saved tracks into the Sygic app. This feature is useful if you plan your routes in advance using third-party tools or receive GPX files from other users.
Below you will find instructions on how to import a GPX file and important information about how GPX routes behave in the app.
What Is a GPX File?
A GPX (GPS Exchange Format) file contains route data such as:
Waypoints
Route points
Track logs
It allows you to transfer navigation routes between different navigation systems and planning tools.
How to Import a GPX File
Open GPX File from Email or File Manager
Download the GPX file to your device.
Open the file using your device’s file manager or email attachment.
Select Open with Sygic.
The route will be imported into the app.
Confirm and start navigation.
Important Notes About GPX Navigation
After importing, the route is recalculated based on the current map data.
The app will try to follow the original GPX path as closely as possible.
If some roads in the GPX file no longer exist or are restricted, the route may slightly change.
Vehicle profile restrictions may affect final routing.
Troubleshooting GPX Import Issues
If the GPX file does not import correctly:
Make sure the file format is
.gpx.Check that the file is not corrupted.
Ensure you are using the latest version of the app.
Verify that the GPX file contains route or waypoint data (not only unsupported track data).
If problems persist, please contact support and provide:

Description of the issue
GPX import is a powerful feature for advanced route planning, and we recommend verifying the imported route on the map before starting navigation. Please note that since GPX files are third-party content, we cannot guarantee full functionality, and the feature may not work flawlessly due to the nature of the external data.
