First launch setup in Sygic Truck & Caravan Navigation

Learn how to complete the first-time setup of Sygic Truck & Caravan Navigation, including license activation, map download, vehicle settings, and required permissions.

After installing Sygic Truck & Caravan Navigation, you can set up the app for the first time by choosing storage, activating your license or starting a trial, downloading your first map, setting vehicle parameters, and allowing the required permissions. 
 

First launch setup

To complete the initial setup after installation:

  1. Open Sygic Truck & Caravan Navigation from the app icon, Google Play Store, or Apple App Store.

  2. On the welcome screen, tap Continue to proceed. 

  3. Choose whether you want to use internal storage or an SD card.

  4. Select one of the following options:

    • If you already have a valid license, tap I already have a license to activate your product.

    • Tap Try for free if you want to start using the app without activating a license yet.

  5. Download your first map.

    • You can download the recommended map.

    • You can also add other maps you need before continuing.

  6. While the map is downloading, set up your vehicle parameters.

  7. After the map download is complete, review and accept the End User License Agreement.

  8. Allow the required app permissions when prompted.

Once these steps are completed, the app is ready to use.

Can I use the app if I do not have a license yet?

Yes. If you do not have a license yet, tap Try for free during the first launch setup.

Why do I need to accept permissions and the End User License Agreement (EULA)?

Permissions are required for features such as navigation and location services to work correctly. The End User License Agreement (EULA) must be accepted before using the app, as it defines the terms and conditions of use. Without the required permissions or EULA acceptance, the app may not function properly or cannot be used at all.

Can I change the storage location after setup?

The storage location is selected during the first launch setup. If you need to change it later, reinstall the app and complete the first launch setup again, where you can select internal storage or an SD card.
