How to back up and restore data using the offline manual backup ?

You do not have to use online cloud options in order to back up and restore your files. All you need is program iFunbox which you can download and install from: http://www.i-funbox.com/ or other program (iExplorer etc). This manual is for using iFunbox.

First we advise to turn off online backup by going to Sygic GPS Navigation > Menu > Settings > Cloud services and selecting Off.

  1. Once you open the file manager from your computer and connect your device, go to User Applications > All my apps and into Sygic app in section.

  2. Open the Library/Sygic/aurares folder.

  3. Open the db folder. Items.dat contains favourites locations and history. Widgets.dat contains your widget settings in widget menu. Copy these files on your local disk, or somewhere where you want to store them.

  4. Open the itinerary folder. This folder contains your saved routes. Copy the Itinerary folder on your local disk or somewhere where you want to store it.

  5. Open the icons/rupi folder. This folder contains pictures to your imported POIs. Copy this folder on your local disk or somewhere where you want to store it.

  6. Go to Library/Sygic/auramap and open the rupi folder. This folder contains your imported POIs. Copy it on your local disk or somewhere where you want to store it.

  7. If you want to restore these saved files and folders on another iOS device, simply copy them from your local disk to the new device using iFunbox or other manager to the same locations.
