All updates for the Sygic GPS Navigation app are distributed via the Google Play Store. Once an update is available, you will be notified about its availability in your notification bar, or, by default, the app will be updated automatically when you connect to a WiFi network.
How to update the app manually via Google Play:
- Start Google Play and go into My Applications
- Select Sygic GPS Navigation & Offline Maps and tap on Update
- Once the update is complete, please open the Sygic application so it can finish updating.
Why do other users have a different version than me?
Sometimes, not all users have the same app version. This is due to the fact that we use a feature of the Google Play developer console called Staged Roll-out - basically, it allows us to manage the amount of users (the users are selected randomly, we only manage the amount of users) that receive the new update. This allows us to rapidly respond in case an issue appears in the new release that needs to be handled before the update reaches more users. It also helps us to monitor all online services, so that they can handle the increasing amount of users (for instance, if a map update is deployed with the app update), and much more. An update then finally reaches all users, usually within a matter of days.
We handle all updates with maximum care, to provide the best possible service with every tool that the app distribution system provides us with.
I don't see an update option in the Play Store app!
In that case, you are running the latest app version available for your device.
Can I download the update for my Sygic from you directly?
No. All updates need to be updated via the Play Store app. In rare cases though, when troubleshooting issues, we do have the means to provide them. Please note that this option is available only when troubleshooting technical issues.
