Head Up Display
See all navigation instructions projected directly into your line of sight - the windshield. This allows you to process instructions faster and keep your attention on the road. Head-up Display works without any additional accessories or devices. It projects all important information such as turn indicator arrows, distance to the next turn, your current speed and speed limit. Warnings for speed cameras and estimated time of arrival are also included.
HOW TO USE HEAD UP DISPLAY ?
Plan your route and tap on Quick Menu icon in the map view (3 dots bottom right). Select Head Up Display to start this feature. You can also use Head-up Display without a route to see your current speed or warnings for speed cameras.
Once the Head-up Display is running, please tap on the screen. Options to return back to normal navigation and to flip the Head-up Display to mirror image will appear. Flipping the Head-up Display to mirror image is necessary to see it correctly when it’s reflected on the windshield.
Flip the Head-up Display and place your device under the windshield. By adjusting the distance of the device from the windshield you can change how high on the windshield the Head/up Display appears. You are ready to hit the road.
Head up Display is unlocked automatically with your purchase of paid standalone Sygic Regional app. With only one exception, which is Sygic World regional standalone app (where this addon needs to be purchased separately.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The orientation of the information displayed on windshield is wrong. How can I switch that?
While you have HUD active, tap anywhere on the screen and two buttons will appear. One to close the HUD and other one to switch orientation of the screen. This should provide correct orientation of the projected information on your windshield.
What if I cannot see the navigation instructions on the windshield?
This can happen when using HUD in the daytime. Please keep in mind that HUD to works best at night, due to the light contrast needed for the information to be visible properly.
What if I want to use HUD without creating a route?
You can use it by tapping on the three-dot button (the quick menu) at the bottom right corner of the screen. You´ll see your current speed or speed cameras warnings.
What if I see the navigation information projected on the windshield twice?
This can be caused by physical properties of the windshield. The projected image depends on the glass thickness and/or it's manufacturing process (some windshields are made from multiple glass layers).
